But that being said, not all LPVO’s are made equal, and it can be difficult to sort out which scope is actually going to provide you with the most value for your money…

Lens Clarity…
The lens clarity that you get with the Delta Stryker 1-6 is extremely impressive, especially considering that it is a sub-1,000 dollar optic…
It’s insanely clear, and that clarity goes all the way to the edges of the lens which is not always the case with scopes in this price range…
In fact, the clarity of the Delta Stryker 1-6’s glass is almost as good as the Vortex Razor, which is kind of the standard for glass clarity in my opinion…
And this should come as no surprise because this scope is manufactured in Japan, and Japanese glass has gained an outstanding reputation for quality over the last few years…
So all in all, the lens clarity and quality of the glass that comes with the Delta Stryker is extremely high, and I think it beats out every other scope in its class (including some scopes from Trijicon, Steiner, and others as well).
Reticle…
There are two reticle options that you can get with the Delta Stryker 1-6 scope, the DSMR reticle and the DGMR reticle…
Both are ‘mil‘ reticles and can be very useful depending on your personal preference…
For example, if you want a more simple reticle you might like the DGMR because it includes crosshairs, an extremely bright (illuminated) red dot in the center…
…and BDC (Bullet Drop Compensator) lines which will allow you to quickly range out to targets at various distances without having to spin any dials.
On the other hand, if you want a slightly more complex reticle that offers you a little bit more functionality, then you’ll want to go with the DSMR reticle…
The DSMR reticle also includes crosshairs and an extremely bright (illuminated) red dot in the center…
However, it also features horizontal and vertical hash marks (stadia lines) which you can easily use for bullet drop compensation and to make windage adjustments for targets at varying distances…
Reticle Illumination…
Now, as I mentioned earlier, in the center of the reticle is an illuminated red dot, and this dot gets extremely bright…
It’s certainly bright enough for daylight use, and because of that, when the scope is on 1x power, you can actually use this scope in a similar way to a red dot…
That means you can acquire targets very quickly, and shoot extremely fast when you need to, especially at close distances…
On top of that, the field of view that you get with this scope on 1x power is massive…
Seeing more when you’re shooting is always going to be a benefit, and the wide field of view that you get when looking through this scope will only enhance your ability as a shooter…
So all in all, I really like both reticle options that the Delta Stryker 1-6 comes with, but my preference of the two is the DSMR because it’s very easy to use and gives you a bit more functionality over the DGMR.
Construction & Turrets…
The Delta Stryker 1-6x is actually designed in Poland and manufactured in Japan…
That’s a good thing because Japan is producing some extremely high-quality scopes right now, and the quality that you get with the Delta Stryker 1-6x is no exception to that…
To begin, the scope body is made from aviation-grade aluminum alloys, and that helps make it a fairly rugged optic…
In addition to that, it has windage and elevation turrets that are capped and fairly low profile…
I like that they’re capped because you won’t need to be dialing them in on an LPVO, and the caps give them a little bit of extra protection…
I also like that they’re low profile because they’re less likely to get snagged up on your clothing, a sling, or anything else that might get caught on them…
In addition to that, I like that you can adjust for windage and elevation without the use of any tools, and the click adjustments are audible, tactile, and move the reticle 0.1 MIL each time…
Another feature I like is that you can zero out the turrets by simply pulling up on them, spinning to the zero hash mark, and then pushing them back down…
On the left-hand side of the scope is the brightness adjustment turret and battery compartment…
The battery the Delta Stryker 1-6 takes is a CR2032, and there are 11 brightness settings that you can choose from…
Between each of the 11 brightness settings is an ‘off’ position, and as I mentioned before, the illumination on this reticle gets extremely bright at the mid-to-higher levels…
Last, this is a 1-6x scope, so it does include a zoom ring. The zoom ring moves very smoothly, and included with the Delta Stryker 1-6, you get a throw lever that you can easily attach right to the zoom ring by screwing it in…
I love that they included a throw lever with this optic because it allows you to go from 1 power to 6 power extremely fast…
And on top of that, you won’t have to go online searching for a throw-lever that will be compatible with your scope (which is the case with many other optics).
Weight & Length…
The length of the Delta Stryker 1-6x is 10.07 inches, and the weight is only 17.28 ounces…
That’s actually incredibly lightweight considering the glass quality of this scope, and I think that if you pair this scope with the aero precision ultralight mount…
…you’ll have an incredibly lightweight optic set up, that will keep your rifle well-balanced and handy when you’re looking to shoot fast.
Second Focal Plane Scope…
The Delta Stryker 1-6x is a second focal plane scope. There is a lot of debate between those who prefer second focal plane scopes and those who like first focal plane scopes…
And here’s the deal, each type offers its own benefits and disadvantages. For example, a second focal plane scope is very useful when you need visibility at multiple magnification ranges…
The reason why is because the reticle you see when looking through the scope stays the same size regardless of the magnification level that your scope is set to…
That’s not the case with a first focal plane scope, and there are many situations in which having that consistent reticle size is a huge benefit.
Delta Stryker HD 1-6×24 Pros & Cons…
Pros…
- Crystal clear glass (and edge to edge clarity)…
- 2 reticle options (I like the DSMR reticle)…
- Extremely bright illuminated dot reticle (So you can use it like a red dot on 1x power)…
- Large field of view on 1x (again, will help you shoot faster)…
- Capped windage and elevation turrets (low profile and easy to adjust without any tools)…

- Smooth moving zoom ring…
- Included throw-lever (so you can change magnification very quickly and easily – all LPVOs should include this, but they do not)…
- Extremely lightweight scope (especially considering others in its class)…
- Second Focal Plane (for a consistent reticle size when aiming at various magnification levels)…
Cons…
- This scope is not sold in many places right now, even when looking online…
- The price of this scope has been creeping up (I recommend getting one now because the word is getting out that these scopes are very high-quality, and the prices are starting to go up as a result)…

So in the end, I think the Delta Stryker HD 1-6×24 is an amazing scope (especially considering its price point), and I highly recommend it…
