psa dagger trigger upgrade

I love my PSA Dagger…

We all know the Dagger is affordable, but it’s also reliable, accurate, and very fun to shoot…

And truth be told, I like the standard trigger that comes with the Dagger…

But even though I like it, there is definitely room for improvement…

And that begs the question… What is the best PSA Dagger trigger upgrade?

That’s a great question, and in this post I’m going to answer it for you by giving you my Top 6 best trigger upgrades for the PSA Dagger

In the end, you’ll have a clear understanding of what trigger upgrades you can do to your Dagger, and you should have all the information you need to determine which is going to be right for you…

Let’s get to it!

Best PSA Dagger Trigger Upgrade – Top 6 List…

The best PSA Dagger trigger upgrade is the Timney Trigger Alpha Glock Competition Trigger. It’s the best because it gives you a crisp 3 pound trigger pull with a flat faced trigger shoe that is constructed from Aluminum. It’s also a very reliable trigger, and the installation can be completed without the help of an actual gunsmith…

Below, I’ll give you more detail explaining why the Timney Alpha Trigger is the best, and I’ll also share with you 5 other fantastic trigger upgrades that you can do to your PSA Dagger…

IMPORTANT NOTE: The PSA Dagger is a Generation 3 Glock clone. So when upgrading, always choose parts that are compatible with Gen 3 Glocks!

1. Timney Triggers Alpha Glock Competition Trigger (Gen 3, 4)

timney trigger psa dagger

Number 1 on my list of best PSA Dagger Trigger Upgrades is the Timney Trigger Alpha Glock Competition Trigger, and there are many reasons why…

First of all, this trigger (like all triggers on my list) is built for Gen 3 Glocks, which is what the PSA Dagger is compatible with, and this trigger is simply amazing (it’s the best Glock trigger on the market)…

With the Timney Alpha Trigger, you get a super crisp 3 pound trigger pull which is a lot better than the stock Dagger trigger. That light 3 pound trigger is huge when you want to make fast and accurate shots because it just makes the whole trigger press a heck of a lot easier…

Aside from that, the Alpha trigger’s trigger shoe is made from aluminum, which is stiffer than the Dagger’s stock trigger which is polymer, and that aluminum shoe really changes the whole feeling of the trigger because it doesn’t flex at all when you pull it…

Another thing I really like about the Alpha trigger is that it will utilize the stock springs that come in your Dagger, and this is actually a very important thing to consider because I’ve personally seen reliability problems when changing to lighter springs in many of my Glocks (I always run stock springs now)…

And because this trigger keeps your stock springs in the Dagger, it’s a very reliable trigger. Last, installation of the Timney trigger is fairly straight forward and doesn’t require a gunsmith. So you can break down your Dagger at home, and get this bad boy installed in your gun without much of a hassle…

Just remember to get the version that is made for Generation 3 and Generation 4 Glocks because that model will be compatible with your PSA Dagger

So all in all, I love the Timney Alpha Trigger because the crisp 3 pound trigger pull helps you shoot fast and accurate, and because it doesn’t sacrifice anything in the way of reliability either.

2. Overwatch Precision TAC (9mm)

psa dagger compatible trigger

Number 2 on my list is the Overwatch Precision TAC trigger, and it’s another option that will make a great pair with the PSA Dagger…

To begin, like the Timney Alpha Trigger, the Overwatch Precision TAC gives you a straight trigger shoe that is made from 7075-T6 Aluminum, and like I mentioned earlier, the aluminum trigger shoe is a huge upgrade over the Dagger’s stock polymer trigger, just because it makes the trigger more rigid which makes it more crisp…

Aside from that, the Overwatch Precision TAC also has a very broad, flat face, and this type of geometry generally helps you press the trigger back straight to the rear (which is critical for helping you shooting accurately)…

The pre-travel on the Overwatch Precision TAC is also greatly reduced over a stock Glock or PSA Dagger trigger, and the weight is a very clean 5 to 5.5 pounds…

On top of all that, the TAC is also a very reliable trigger, and it can easily be installed into your Dagger without the help of a gunsmith, so it’s hassle free and headache free…

All in all, the Overwatch Precision TAC is another fantastic PSA Dagger trigger upgrade, because it gives you a phenomenal trigger pull and maintains the reliability of your gun.

3. Apex Tactical Specialties Glock Action Enhancement Trigger (Gen 3 Trigger Bar)

apex trigger for psa dagger

Number 3 on my list of trigger upgrades for the PSA Dagger is the Apex Tactical Specialties Glock Action Enhancement Trigger, and there are many reasons why it’s another solid option…

First of all, the Apex Tactical trigger is a direct drop in replacement for the stock Dagger trigger. It is made of polymer, like the Dagger’s stock trigger, but the broad face and overall geometry make it easier to press straight back to the rear (and thus, it’s easier to shoot fast and accurately with it)…

Now, the overall weight of the Apex Trigger is about the same as the stock Dagger trigger, but it doesn’t feel that way for a few reasons. First, the overall travel is much shorter on the Apex trigger, which gives you more control when firing…

Second, the uptake is super smooth and the reset is firm which helps you make quick follow up shots. And third, the trigger break is much more crisp than the Dagger’s stock trigger break, which again just makes shooting accurately easier…

Also, like I mentioned before, this is a direct drop in trigger upgrade so it’s incredible easy to install on your own, and if you really want to take this trigger’s performance to another level, you can pair it with the Apex Ultimate Safety Plunger for an even smoother trigger pull…

So all in all, the Apex Tactical Action Enhancement Trigger is another amazing option, if you want to get top notch performance out of the trigger in your Dagger.

4. Overwatch Precision Polymer DAT Drop-In Trigger Kit (Gen 3)

Number 4 on the list is another incredible trigger upgrade for the PSA Dagger, and it’s the Overwatch Precision Polymer DAT Drop-In Trigger Kit…

Now, this is the second Overwatch Precision Trigger that I’ve included on the list, and for good reason. With this trigger kit you get a TON of performance…

For example, the trigger shoe has fantastic geometry which makes it easier to pull your trigger straight back to the rear (again, super important to help you shoot accurately).

The trigger bar that you get included with the kit gives you an incredibly smooth pull because it’s either highly polished or NP3 coated (depending on what you choose), and the OEM trigger housing and ejector help ensure that you’re going to keep your Dagger reliable…

On top of all that, you also get an NP3 coated minus connector from Overwatch Precision, which makes your trigger pull lighter, crisper and smoother…

And you actually get an extra power trigger spring to make sure that your reset is strong and positive for fast follow up shots…

Last, as it says in the name, the Polymer DAT trigger is made from polymer (which helps keep this whole high-performance kit affordable), and the whole system is completely drop in and very easy to install on your own…

Plain and simple, this is an amazing way to easily get an incredible trigger into your Dagger!

5. Agency Arms Syndicate Glock Drop-In Trigger (Gen 3, 4)

psa dagger trigger shoe

Number 5 on my list is the Agency Arms Syndicate Glock Drop-In Trigger, and it’s another amazing option that will fit into your PSA Dagger…

To start off with, the Agency Arms trigger is polymer much like the stock PSA Dagger trigger, but other than that one feature, the two triggers are completely different…

For example, the Agency Arms trigger has a flat face (much like many of the other triggers on my list), and that will help you make a trigger press that is straight to the rear which will make you more accurate when you’re shooting…

In addition to that, the Agency Arms trigger also has toe feature which helps you index your trigger finger for more consistency when you’re firing…

The whole unit gives you a smooth, crisp trigger pull which is much better than the standard Dagger trigger, and it’s also completely drop-in, so it’ll be very easy for you to install…

All in all, that Agency Arms Drop in trigger is another fantastic option if you’re looking to upgrade the trigger on your Dagger.

6. ZEV Technologies Pro Connector

psa dagger aftermarket parts

The final upgrade on my list is a simple connector. I’ve tried a lot of aftermarket Glock connectors over the years, and by far, my favorite is the Zev Technologies Pro Connector…

The reason why I like it so much is because it gives you a more crisp trigger pull with shorter travel than the standard trigger pull that you get in a Glock or a PSA Dagger…

It also gives you a slightly lighter trigger pull, and maintains a strong, positive reset so you can make fast follow shots when you need to…

I’ve also found it to be a very reliable connector, and it’s very simple to install…

So if you’re looking for a very simple way, to get a little bit more out of your trigger, I highly recommend the Zev Pro Connector for your PSA Dagger (and your Glocks if you have any).
