It’s got a ton of great features that can help you shoot faster and more accurately, and one of those features is that it comes to you optic ready…

But that begs the question… What red dots fit the Canik TP9SFX…?

Well that’s a question, I’m going to answer for you in this post, and I’m also going to share with you my top 5 list of the best reds for the Canik TP9 SFX

By the end, you’ll know which pistol red dots will actually fit onto your Canik, and you should have all the information you need to determine which is going to work best for you…

Let’s start by directly answering the main question…

What Red Dots Fit The Canik TP9SFX…?

As I mentioned before, the Canik TP9SFX comes to you Optic Ready, and included with the gun, you get 4 optic plates which will allow you to mount some of the most popular red dots available today including those from Trijicon, Holosun, Vortex, and many other brands…

The first plate will allow you to mount sights from the following manufactuers: Vortex, Docter, Meopta, and Insight…

The second plate will allow you to mount sights with the RMR footprint: Trijicon RMR, Trijicon SRO, Holosun 507C, 407C, and 508T…

The third plate will allow you to mount CMore optics…

And the fourth plate will allow you to mount optics with the J Point footprint.

Best Red Dot For The Canik TP9 SFX – Top 5 List…

The Trijicon RMR Type 2 is the best red dot for the Canik TP9 SFX. It’s well known for its excellent build quality, rugged design, night vision compatibility, and simplicity of use. It also has improved electronics that make it ultra reliable on handguns, and it can be had in a number of different reticle sizes…

Below, I’ll give you more detail explaining why I think the Trijicon RMR is the best option, and I’ll also share with you 4 other amazing red dot sights that you should consider for your Canik…

1. Trijicon RMR Type 2 (My #1 Pick!)

red dot sight for canik tp9sf elite

My top choice red dot sight is the US-made Trijicon RMR Type 2. The Type 2 RMR sports upgraded electronics housed in their patented 7075-T6 aluminum housing, which is extremely rugged and actually diverts impact forces away from the lens (unlike many other pistol optics)…

In addition to the reliability and durability that you get with the RMR, the tri-color multicoated lens ensures a clear sight picture that offers you great contrast when you’re taking aim…

The RMR also features an LED emitter, and it comes available in multiple dot sizes. The most common dot sizes are the 1 MOA dot, the 3.25 MOA dot, and the 6.5 MOA dot, and out of the 3 my favorite is the 3.25 MOA reticle because it’s very quick and easy for your eye to pick up (which allows you to shoot fast), but it’s also very precise when you need to make shots that require a high degree of accuracy…

The RMR also includes eight brightness settings, two of which are night mode settings, and the battery will last you for around 4 years. So you can leave the sight always on (and at the ready) without the need to worry about draining your battery…

The elevation and windage adjustments are made in the traditional manner with click adjustments at 1 MOA per click, and no special tools are required…

On top of that, the adjustable buttons on the optic side allow brightness adjustment in a very easy push-button way, and if you’d like to, you can quickly turn the sight off when your Canik is in the gun safe

So all in all, the RMR is still the king of all pistol optics, and it’s a great option for the Canik TP9SX if you want rock-solid reliability, durability, and dependability.

2. Holosun 507C-X2

canik mete red dot compatibility

My runner up optic for the Canik TP9SFX is the Holosun 507C-X2, and this optic is fairly affordable and loaded with useful features…

For example, the “C” means it’s fitted with a solar panel which allows the optic to run even if your battery dies, and the X2 means that you can lock out the brightness buttons so that even if they’re accidentally bumped, the optic will stay on the setting of your choice…

The Holosun 507C also includes features such as a multicoated lens offering a very clear sight picture, a slightly larger lens (and field of view) than many of its competitors, a very durable frame made from 7075-T6 aluminum, and an RMR-type footprint, which is great because it means you can easily mount it onto your Canik…

On top of that, the sealed waterproof battery compartment is not located underneath the sight (like some other pistol optics). Rather, it’s conveniently accessible from the side of the sight, which means you can change out the battery without removing the optic from your gun…

The battery life will last you for around 50,000 hours (5 years), and as I mentioned before, this sight features a Solar Failsafe, so it will run without a battery as long as you have some sunlight…

It’s also worth mentioning that this sight includes Shake Awake technology, which means the 507C will automatically turn off when it’s not in use and automatically turn on as soon as it senses motion, and this is another great feature because it will save you battery life…

In terms of dot configuration, this sight offers you multiple reticle options including a 2MOA dot, a 32MOA circle, and a Circle Dot Reticle. Out of the 3, my favorite is the Circle Dot Reticle because it helps you shoot with blazing speed at targets up close, but it also has that precise 2 MOA dot in the center to ensure you can shoot with a high degree of accuracy…

Last, this dot has ten daylight brightness settings and two night vision settings, and it’s overall, just a great optic because it’s rugged, reliable, and packed with premium features such as the Circle Dot Reticle… And don’t forget, it does all of that at a fairly affordable price point.

3. Crimson Trace RAD Pro

cheap red dot for canik tp9sfx

The Crimson Trace RAD Pro is another great optic for your Canik, and it’s fairly new and exciting offering to the market. The footprint it features is the same as a Docter mounting configuration, so it will easily fit on one of the included adaptor plates that comes with your Canik TP9 SFX…

I like the top-access battery, which allows you to easily replace it after 20,000 hours (2 years) of use without removing the sight from your gun (which can be a hassle). And I also like the 7075 aluminum housing which is designed to make the sight very impact resistant and durable and is textured along the sides to give you an enhanced grip when working the slide…

The sight is also IPX7 waterproof rated so it’ll function without any issues in the rain, and it has easy-to-use brightness adjustment buttons on the side, which also have an on-off function…

Crimson’s CT Motion Sensor also activates the sight when motion is detected, and the sight automatically turns off after 2 minutes of inactivity, which is a fantastic battery saving feature…

On top of all that, the CT RAD (Rapid Aiming Dot) Pro features a 3 MOA red dot reticle which is a great size for fast and accurate shooting in my opinion, and it adjusts automatically through the ambient light sensor or you can choose to adjust the dot brightness manually which is what I actually prefer…

This sight also includes eight daytime brightness settings and two night vision settings, and the brightness can be easily adjusted with the large buttons located on the side of the sight housing…

It’s also worth mentioning that this sight’s housing design, which has an innovative angle, is made to deflect any forces away from the lens in case the sight is dropped, and in my opinion, it makes this sight look really cool as well…

So overall, this is a new sight that I think is going to gain a ton of popularity in the future, and I think it makes for a great pairing with the Canik because of it’s affordability, durability, and the many other useful features it sports.

4. Holosun 407C-X2

canik tp9sfx holosun plate

The Holosun 407C-X2 joins its bigger brother (the 507C) on my list as it’s also a rugged, no-nonsense yet affordable sight well worth considering…

Here’s the deal, the 507C and 407C sights are identical in terms of features, design, finishes, and size. The major difference is that the 407C offers only a 2 MOA dot option in red or green (I personally prefer red)…

You still get the 50,000 hours of battery life, the Shake Awake Technology, the Solar Failsafe and the other cool features that come with the 507C, but because you only get a 2 MOA dot reticle rather than the 507C’s 3 reticle choices, the 407C is a little lower in terms of price…

So if you like the features that the Holosun 507C has to offer, but are satisfied with a simple 2 MOA dot reticle (which I do think is a good size) then this is a sight that will allow you to save a little bit of money.

5. Swampfox Sentinel

best red dot for canik mete sfx

The Swampfox Sentinel is another great sight that you should consider for your Canik. This ultra-compact micro red dot sight is available in four variants, and the 4 are:

  • Auto brightness / Always On (Red 3MOA Dot Reticle)
  • Auto brightness / Always On (Green 3MOA Dot Reticle)
  • Manual brightness / Shake N Wake (Red 3MOA Dot Reticle)
  • Manual brightness / Shake N Wake (Green 3MOA Dot Reticle)

Out of the 4, I like the manual brightness model in red, but much of that is going to come down to personal preference…

Now, this sight comes with a Shield RMS footprint so (like all other sights on this list) it will be easy to mount on the Canik TP9SFX. The housing is made from 7075 aluminum and it’s been hard coated for durability. On top of that, for added protection, an Ironside shield is available for this sight, which makes it an extremely rugged option…

The Sentinel also offers you ten brightness settings, and the battery life will last you for around 2 years…

To save battery power, the sight turns off after 4 minutes of inactivity, but to keep it always ready to go, it springs to life as soon as the Shake N Wake technology detects movement…

So overall, the Sentinel is another great option, and at current pricing, it’s probably the most affordable optic included in this list.
