My ‘Gucci’ Glock 17 is currently my favorite handgun… I love the way it shoots, I love the way it looks, and I just love everything I’ve done to it…
Below I’ll give you a full breakdown of everything I’ve done with it, and I’ll leave links to make it easy on you if you see anything that you’d like to do for your own gun…
1. Glock 17 (Gen 4)
The base of this gun is a Gen 4 Glock 17. You can use a Gen 4 Glock 17, a Gen 3 Glock 17, or even a Gen 5 Glock 17, as long as it’s an early slide with no front serrations…
If you have a Glock with front slide serrations, you can’t get the slide work package (which I’ll discuss in a minute) that I’ve done on mine. So your Glock needs to have a slide with no front serrations.

2. ‘Valkyrie’ Slide Cut By Boogeyman Customs
The slide work package that I had done on my Glock 17 is the ‘Valkyrie’ package and it’s done by Boogeyman Customs…
The slide milling is top notch, and in my opinion, it’s actually priced fairly reasonably considering the quality of the work…
As I mentioned before, to get the ‘Valkyrie’ cut, you do need to have a slide with no front slide serrations…
That said, if you do have a Gen 5 Glock 17 with front slide serrations, and you like this cut, you can go with the ‘X Carry’ cut which you can see on my Glock 45 here…

3. Holosun EPS
I chose the new Holosun EPS to be my optic for this gun, and asked Boogeyman Customs if they could mill the slide for the footprint of the EPS (which they said they could do)…
I’m happy to report that it fits perfectly on the slide, and is very secure…
I chose the Holosun EPS because I wanted a to try out a fully enclosed pistol optic, and I’ve been very happy with Holosun’s red dot’s in the past…
So far, I love the Holosun EPS and consider it my favorite pistol optic because it’s durable, has a great field of view, and is loaded with useful features…
I chose the model with a 2 MOA dot reticle and without a solar panel on top (which saved me a little bit of money)…
The 2 MOA dot is my preferred dot size for a handgun optic because its easy for my eye to pick up, and at the same time, it allows you to aim very precisely at small targets or targets at distance.

4. L2D Combat Precision Match Fluted/Threaded Barrel
The barrel I chose for this build is the L2D Combat Precision Match Fluted/Threaded barrel…
This is an extremely high quality barrel. It is a match barrel, and I’ve found it to be incredibly accurate…
And I think the fluting, styling, and color (I chose to go with the Bronze), just go perfectly with the Valkyrie slide milling from Boogeyman Customs…
L2D barrels are awesome, and I highly recommend them if you’re looking to upgrade your Glock’s barrel.

5. Ameriglo Tall Sights
Because the Holosun EPS sits so low on the slide, I chose to go with Ameriglo sights that are just slightly taller than stock Glock sights…
The front sight is .240″ and all blacked out (which is what I want when I’m running an optic), and the rear sight is .335″ (again, all black)…
They give me a lower 1/3 co witness through the optic, which is perfect for me because I don’t want my back up sights taking up too much area in the sight window…
I highly recommend these sights to go with the Holosun EPS because, again, the EPS sits very low on your Glock’s slide.

6. Streamlight TLR-1
Right now, I’m running a Streamlight TLR-1 on my Glock 17. I may upgrade this light to a TLR-1 HL in the future for a few more lumens, but I haven’t decided yet…
I have the TLR-1 and the TLR-1 HL, and I like both of them.

7. Zev Pro Connector
Aside from polishing the stock Glock internals, the only part that I’ve changed out is the connector…
I replaced the stock connector with a Zev Pro Connector, and of all the aftermarket connectors that I’ve tried, I like the Zev Pro the best…
It lightens up your Glock’s trigger pull significantly, and because you’re not messing with any reduced weight springs, it’s still a 100 percent reliable (which is a must for me)…
This is an affordable and simple upgrade that I recommend for any Glock you have.
