Best PSA Dagger Trigger Upgrade [Top 6 List]

/ by
psa dagger trigger upgrade

I love my PSA Dagger…

We all know the Dagger is affordable, but it’s also reliable, accurate, and very fun to shoot…

And truth be told, I like the standard trigger that comes with the Dagger…

But even though I like it, there is definitely room for improvement…

And that begs the question… What is the best PSA Dagger trigger upgrade?

That’s a great question, and in this post I’m going to answer it for you by giving you my Top 6 best trigger upgrades for the PSA Dagger

In the end, you’ll have a clear understanding of what trigger upgrades you can do to your Dagger, and you should have all the information you need to determine which is going to be right for you…

Let’s get to it!

Best PSA Dagger Trigger Upgrade – Top 6 List…

The best PSA Dagger trigger upgrade is the Timney Trigger Alpha Glock Competition Trigger. It’s the best because it gives you a crisp 3 pound trigger pull with a flat faced trigger shoe that is constructed from Aluminum. It’s also a very reliable trigger, and the installation can be completed without the help of an actual gunsmith…

Below, I’ll give you more detail explaining why the Timney Alpha Trigger is the best, and I’ll also share with you 5 other fantastic trigger upgrades that you can do to your PSA Dagger…

IMPORTANT NOTE: The PSA Dagger is a Generation 3 Glock clone. So when upgrading, always choose parts that are compatible with Gen 3 Glocks!

1. Timney Triggers Alpha Glock Competition Trigger (Gen 3, 4)

timney trigger psa dagger

Number 1 on my list of best PSA Dagger Trigger Upgrades is the Timney Trigger Alpha Glock Competition Trigger, and there are many reasons why…

First of all, this trigger (like all triggers on my list) is built for Gen 3 Glocks, which is what the PSA Dagger is compatible with, and this trigger is simply amazing (it’s the best Glock trigger on the market)…

With the Timney Alpha Trigger, you get a super crisp 3 pound trigger pull which is a lot better than the stock Dagger trigger. That light 3 pound trigger is huge when you want to make fast and accurate shots because it just makes the whole trigger press a heck of a lot easier…

Aside from that, the Alpha trigger’s trigger shoe is made from aluminum, which is stiffer than the Dagger’s stock trigger which is polymer, and that aluminum shoe really changes the whole feeling of the trigger because it doesn’t flex at all when you pull it…

Another thing I really like about the Alpha trigger is that it will utilize the stock springs that come in your Dagger, and this is actually a very important thing to consider because I’ve personally seen reliability problems when changing to lighter springs in many of my Glocks (I always run stock springs now)…

And because this trigger keeps your stock springs in the Dagger, it’s a very reliable trigger. Last, installation of the Timney trigger is fairly straight forward and doesn’t require a gunsmith. So you can break down your Dagger at home, and get this bad boy installed in your gun without much of a hassle…

Just remember to get the version that is made for Generation 3 and Generation 4 Glocks because that model will be compatible with your PSA Dagger

So all in all, I love the Timney Alpha Trigger because the crisp 3 pound trigger pull helps you shoot fast and accurate, and because it doesn’t sacrifice anything in the way of reliability either.

2. Overwatch Precision TAC (9mm)

psa dagger compatible trigger

Number 2 on my list is the Overwatch Precision TAC trigger, and it’s another option that will make a great pair with the PSA Dagger…

To begin, like the Timney Alpha Trigger, the Overwatch Precision TAC gives you a straight trigger shoe that is made from 7075-T6 Aluminum, and like I mentioned earlier, the aluminum trigger shoe is a huge upgrade over the Dagger’s stock polymer trigger, just because it makes the trigger more rigid which makes it more crisp…

Aside from that, the Overwatch Precision TAC also has a very broad, flat face, and this type of geometry generally helps you press the trigger back straight to the rear (which is critical for helping you shooting accurately)…

The pre-travel on the Overwatch Precision TAC is also greatly reduced over a stock Glock or PSA Dagger trigger, and the weight is a very clean 5 to 5.5 pounds…

On top of all that, the TAC is also a very reliable trigger, and it can easily be installed into your Dagger without the help of a gunsmith, so it’s hassle free and headache free…

All in all, the Overwatch Precision TAC is another fantastic PSA Dagger trigger upgrade, because it gives you a phenomenal trigger pull and maintains the reliability of your gun.

3. Apex Tactical Specialties Glock Action Enhancement Trigger (Gen 3 Trigger Bar)

apex trigger for psa dagger

Number 3 on my list of trigger upgrades for the PSA Dagger is the Apex Tactical Specialties Glock Action Enhancement Trigger, and there are many reasons why it’s another solid option…

First of all, the Apex Tactical trigger is a direct drop in replacement for the stock Dagger trigger. It is made of polymer, like the Dagger’s stock trigger, but the broad face and overall geometry make it easier to press straight back to the rear (and thus, it’s easier to shoot fast and accurately with it)…

Now, the overall weight of the Apex Trigger is about the same as the stock Dagger trigger, but it doesn’t feel that way for a few reasons. First, the overall travel is much shorter on the Apex trigger, which gives you more control when firing…

Second, the uptake is super smooth and the reset is firm which helps you make quick follow up shots. And third, the trigger break is much more crisp than the Dagger’s stock trigger break, which again just makes shooting accurately easier…

Also, like I mentioned before, this is a direct drop in trigger upgrade so it’s incredible easy to install on your own, and if you really want to take this trigger’s performance to another level, you can pair it with the Apex Ultimate Safety Plunger for an even smoother trigger pull…

So all in all, the Apex Tactical Action Enhancement Trigger is another amazing option, if you want to get top notch performance out of the trigger in your Dagger.

4. Overwatch Precision Polymer DAT Drop-In Trigger Kit (Gen 3)

psa dagger trigger install

Number 4 on the list is another incredible trigger upgrade for the PSA Dagger, and it’s the Overwatch Precision Polymer DAT Drop-In Trigger Kit…

Now, this is the second Overwatch Precision Trigger that I’ve included on the list, and for good reason. With this trigger kit you get a TON of performance…

For example, the trigger shoe has fantastic geometry which makes it easier to pull your trigger straight back to the rear (again, super important to help you shoot accurately).

The trigger bar that you get included with the kit gives you an incredibly smooth pull because it’s either highly polished or NP3 coated (depending on what you choose), and the OEM trigger housing and ejector help ensure that you’re going to keep your Dagger reliable…

On top of all that, you also get an NP3 coated minus connector from Overwatch Precision, which makes your trigger pull lighter, crisper and smoother…

And you actually get an extra power trigger spring to make sure that your reset is strong and positive for fast follow up shots…

Last, as it says in the name, the Polymer DAT trigger is made from polymer (which helps keep this whole high-performance kit affordable), and the whole system is completely drop in and very easy to install on your own…

Plain and simple, this is an amazing way to easily get an incredible trigger into your Dagger!

5. Agency Arms Syndicate Glock Drop-In Trigger (Gen 3, 4)

psa dagger trigger shoe

Number 5 on my list is the Agency Arms Syndicate Glock Drop-In Trigger, and it’s another amazing option that will fit into your PSA Dagger…

To start off with, the Agency Arms trigger is polymer much like the stock PSA Dagger trigger, but other than that one feature, the two triggers are completely different…

For example, the Agency Arms trigger has a flat face (much like many of the other triggers on my list), and that will help you make a trigger press that is straight to the rear which will make you more accurate when you’re shooting…

In addition to that, the Agency Arms trigger also has toe feature which helps you index your trigger finger for more consistency when you’re firing…

The whole unit gives you a smooth, crisp trigger pull which is much better than the standard Dagger trigger, and it’s also completely drop-in, so it’ll be very easy for you to install…

All in all, that Agency Arms Drop in trigger is another fantastic option if you’re looking to upgrade the trigger on your Dagger.

6. ZEV Technologies Pro Connector

psa dagger aftermarket parts

The final upgrade on my list is a simple connector. I’ve tried a lot of aftermarket Glock connectors over the years, and by far, my favorite is the Zev Technologies Pro Connector…

The reason why I like it so much is because it gives you a more crisp trigger pull with shorter travel than the standard trigger pull that you get in a Glock or a PSA Dagger…

It also gives you a slightly lighter trigger pull, and maintains a strong, positive reset so you can make fast follow shots when you need to…

I’ve also found it to be a very reliable connector, and it’s very simple to install…

So if you’re looking for a very simple way, to get a little bit more out of your trigger, I highly recommend the Zev Pro Connector for your PSA Dagger (and your Glocks if you have any).

Best Doctor Cut Optics [It’s Actually ‘Docter’] – TOP 6 List…

/ by
doctor cut optics

The RMR cut definitely gets the most attention… But it’s not the only pistol optic cut out there…

Another fairly common optic footprint is called the Docter/Noblex footprint…

Now, a lot of people mistakenly spell it ‘doctor’ because that’s the sound and spelling that we’re used to…

But spelling aside, there’s a big question that needs to be answered… What are the best Doctor cut optics— Oops, I mean Docter cut optics…?

That’s a great question, and in this article, I’m going to answer that question for you by giving you my list of the Top 6 best Docter cut optics…

In the end, you’ll have a clear understanding of the options that are currently available, and you should have all the information you need to determine which option is going to work best for you…

Let’s get started!

Best Doctor Cut Optics (It’s Actually ‘Docter’) – TOP 6 List…

The best docter cut optic is Crimson Trace RAD Pro. It’s the best because it has an extremely rugged sight housing, ultra long battery life, and a very useful 3 MOA dot reticle…

It also features other useful features like automatic brightness adjustments based on the ambient lighting that you’re shooting in, and Shake-To-Wake technology…

But all that being said, I actually put another optic as number one on my list (the CT RAD Pro is still solidly at number 2). So to find out why, I hope you’ll read on…

1. Steiner MPS Micro Pistol Sight

doctor cut compatibility

The first optic on my list is the Steiner MPS which stands for ‘Micro Pistol Sight’, and it’s not technically a docter cut optic, but hear me out on my reasoning for putting it number one on this list…

The Steiner MPS is an enclosed emitter red dot sight, and to me, that’s awesome because it makes the optic much more reliable and durable than the traditional open emitter sights that you typically see (those sights can be very durable too)…

I love that with a closed emitter red dot, nothing can get into your sight and block the emitter from working, and the MPS does a great job of this and has mil-spec ruggedness and waterproofness…

Aside from that, the MPS has a large sight window, which gives you a great field of view when looking through the optic, and the lens is very crisp and clear…

It also gives you 13,000 hours of battery life (which is over a year), 8 brightness levels (including 2 night vision compatible settings), and it can auto shut off after 13 hours, which is great because it will help save you battery life…

The reticle that you get on the MPS is a 3.3 MOA red dot, which is a great size reticle because it’s very fast and easy for your eye to pick up, but at the same time, it’s small enough that you can aim with a great deal of precision at small targets or targets at further distances…

Last, as I mentioned before, it doesn’t feature a doctor footprint. It actually has the ACRO footprint, which is a different concept from typical footprints because of it’s enclosed emitter design…

That being said, it does come with a docter adapter plate included in the box. So you’ll be able to get it mounted very quickly and easily if you have a gun set up for the docter footprint optic…

So all in all, I love the Steiner MPS because it’s super durable and reliable, it has solid battery life, it has a great reticle size, it gives you a wide field of view, and it comes with a docter cut adapter plate so you can easily get it mounted to your gun!

2. Crimson Trace RAD PRO

doctor cut vs rmr cut

Number 2 on my list is the Crimson Trace RAD Pro. RAD actually stands for “Rapid Aiming Dot”, and this is definitely a sight that will help you shoot fast and accurately…

Now unlike the Steiner MPS, the RAD Pro actually features a docter footprint, but aside from that, it has a ton of great features that really make it stand out…

First of all, it’s a pretty rugged little optic. It is a traditional open emitter design, but the sight housing is made from 7075 Aerospace aluminum, and the angled design is there to make the optic extra stress resistant…

It does a great job at this too because I’ve personally dropped one (actually it fell off my gun because I didn’t mount it tight enough), but it held up without any issues after the drop…

On top of that, it’s also IPX7 waterproof, and it can handle rainy, snowy, or wet conditions without any issues at all…

The sight window that you get with the RAD Pro is a good size, and gives you a wide field of view…

And it can be had with a 3 MOA or 5 MOA dot, with my preference being the 3 because I find it to be more precise and just as quick and easy for my eye to pick up…

The battery life that you get with the RAD Pro is around 20,000 hours which is over 2 years, and it also has a Shake-To-Wake sensor which means the sight will automatically turn off after a period of non-use and then automatically turn on as soon as it senses motion (such as you picking up your gun)…

Another thing I like about this is sight is that the battery is top mounted, which means you won’t have to go through the hassle of taking it off your gun just to change out your battery, and it also gives you 8 daylight brightness settings and 2 Night Vision compatible settings as well…

Also, because this is the Pro version of the RAD, it actually has an ambient light sensor which will automatically adjust the brightness of your dot to the ambient lighting conditions that you’re in…

This is a really cool and cutting edge feature, but you can also program the sight to it’s manual brightness settings if you don’t find it works well for you…

So all in all, the Crimson Trace RAD Pro is a strong and reliable little doctor cut optic, and it’s packed with useful features and comes in at a solid price point as well!

3. Burris FastFire IV

doctor cut holosun

Number 3 on my list is the Burris FastFire IV, and there are a number of reasons why this is a docter footprint optic that you should consider…

First of all, the Burris FastFire IV is a traditional open emitter optic, but it has a little twist to it. It features the docter footprint at the bottom, but it also includes a watertight weather shield which can be put on the top of it, and it essentially turns the sight into an enclosed emitter optic (similar to the Steiner MPS)…

This is an awesome feature in my opinion, because it adds an extra level of durability to the optic. On top of that, the FastFire IV has 4 reticle options programmed into the sight…

These 4 options include:

  • A 3 MOA dot
  • An 11 MOA dot
  • A 3 MOA dot with a circle around it
  • An 11 MOA dot with a circle around it

Out of these options, I really like the 3 MOA dot with a circle around it, which is sometimes referred to as a circle dot reticle…

I like it because it allows you to pick up and track your dot extremely quickly, but at the same time, you still have that precise 3 MOA dot in the center for making shots that require a high degree of accuracy…

The sight window that you get with the FastFire IV is also pretty large which gives you a wide field of view when shooting, and the reticle gets extremely bright as well…

The battery can be accessed from the top of the optic, so you won’t have to go through the hassle of removing the sight from your firearm just to change the battery, and the battery will last you for around 26,000 hours which is over 2 years…

It also has auto-brightness technology built into it, and it has automatic shut off after 8 hours, to help you preserve your battery life even longer…

So all in all, the Burris FastFire IV is a very cutting edge optic because of the modularity that it gives you. You can toggle through and try out the 4 reticle options before settling on the one that’s right for you, and you can turn it into an enclosed optic, if that’s the type of sight that suits your wants and needs best.

4. Burris FastFire II

doctor cut footprint

Number 4 on my list is actually another Burris and it’s called the FastFire II. It’s an older model than the FastFire 4, but it comes in at a more affordable price and still features that doctor footprint…

To begin, the FastFire II has a sight housing made from anodized aluminum, but it remains a very lightweight and compact optic…

The reticle on the FastFire II is a 4 MOA dot which is a pretty good compromise size between my favorites in the 2-3 MOA range and the larger dot preferences of other shooters…

On top of that, the dot does get very bright, and the optic features an on and off switch which is actually pretty convenient…

The battery life that you get with the FastFire II is said to last around 10,000 hours which is fairly long, but I do have to give this sight a knock because the battery is bottom mounted, which means that you will have to remove it from your gun to swap out the battery when the time comes…

That being said, it’s still a solid docter footprint sight option because it gives you a bright dot, decent battery life, and a good dot size on the reticle at 4 MOA.

Click The Button Below To Learn More About The Burris FastFire II:

5. Vortex Viper

vortex venom doctor cut

Number 5 on my list is the Vortex Viper. This sight has been around for a long time, and has a pretty solid track record…

It’s not the most robust design on this list, but it has a hard anodized finish, Vortex’s Armortek coating to protect its lens, and it’s waterproof and shockproof…

The reticle that you get with this sight is a 6 MOA dot, which is a good size. I personally prefer 2 MOA or 3 MOA when it comes to reticle size…

But I can shoot well with 6 MOA dots, and there are many people (who are better shooters than me) who consider 6 MOA to be the best dot size…

The battery life that you get with the Viper is 30,000 hours on the lower settings and 150 hours on the highest brightness setting. You’ll probably use it on a brightness setting somewhere in the middle of that because it does get very bright, so I think the battery life that you get with the Viper is pretty good…

One of the things I have to ding the Viper on is that it’s a bottom access battery. This means that you will have to remove it from your gun to change out the battery when the time comes, and then remount it afterwards…

It’s not the end of the world, that you have to remove the optic from your gun to change out the battery, but the truth is it’s a little less convenient than a top or side-loading battery…

All in all though, the Vortex Viper is a good red dot sight that features the docter footprint, and it’s been an extremely popular little optic for a long time.

Click The Button Below To Learn More About The Vortex Viper:

6. Hex Dragonfly

psa dagger doctor cut red dot

Number 5 on my list is the Hex Dragonfly which is another great optic featuring the docter footprint, and there are several things to like about it…

First of all, it’s a fairly rugged sight. It has a sight housing made from 6061 T6 Aluminum, and it’s also IPX7 waterproof, so it’ll easily handle rainy and snowy conditions…

In addition to that, the reticle that you get with the Hex Dragonfly is a 3.5 MOA dot which is a great size because your eye can easily pick up the dot and track it and you can still make accurate shots with it, and the lens has a scratch resistant and anti-glare coating which works really well…

The Dragonfly also gives you 8 brightness settings, and the battery will last for around 3 years using the settings that will be bright enough for real world uses (rather than just the lowest brightness settings)…

Now, like the Vortex Viper and the Burris FastFire II, the Dragonfly is unfortunately a bottom loading battery optic, which means you will have to remove the optic from your gun to change out the battery…

But keep in mind, that takes a little more time and effort when you need to change out the battery, but at least you won’t have to do it very often witha whopping 3 years worth of battery life…

So all in all, the Hex Dragonfly is another fantastic docter footprint option because it gives you great battery life, a useful reticle size, and good durability as well.

Eotech G33 vs G43 [Which Magnifier Is Right For You…?]

/ by
eotech g33 vs g43

Eotech’s Holographic sights are awesome…

They’re durable, they have huge sight windows, and their reticle options are second-to-none when it comes to helping you shoot both fast and accurately…

But aside from their line of Holographic sights, Eotech also has a line of magnifiers to help you hit those targets that are smaller and out at extended ranges…

Now, two of their most popular magnifiers are the Eotech G33 and the Eotech G43…

ImageMagnifier

eotech g43Eotech G43 (Get Best Pricing Here!)

But that leads to the question… Which one is right for you…?

Well, in this Eotech G33 Vs G43 article, we’re going to compare these two magnifiers and see what the similarities and differences are…

In the end, you’ll have a clear understanding of what you get with each magnifier, and you should have all the information you need to determine which is going to work best for you…

I’ll also tell you which of the two I actually prefer and why…

Let’s get started!

Eotech G33 vs G43 – What is the difference between G43 and G33?

The Eotech G33 and G43 are similar in many ways, but they do have a few key differences. For example, the G33 is a little bit longer and a little bit more lightweight than the G43. On top of that, the G33 has a slightly shorter eye relief than the G43 and it also has a slightly more narrow field of view…

Watch Video Below:

That being said, there are pros and cons to each of these Eotech magnifiers, and below I’ll discuss what you get with each model in greater detail.

EOTech G33 Magnifier

The Eotech G33 was and is Eotech’s first model in their line of magnifiers (with the G43 and then the G45 coming after it)…

But even though it is the first magnifier that Eotech produced, there are some people who actually prefer it over the newer G43…

We’ll unfold why as we dig into the details…

Durability And Water Resistance

Like all Eotech products, the G33 is built to be tough as nails and can handle a ton of abuse. It is a sealed, fog resistant optic, and it’s rated to be water resistant in a whopping 33 feet of water…

eotech g33 vs g45

It’s also able to work in temperatures that range from -40 degrees Fahrenheit to 140 degrees Fahrenheit, and no matter where you need to take your rifle on this planet, this magnifier will be ready to get the job done.

Physical Dimensions and Weight

The Eotech G33 features a length of 4.4 inches, a width of 2.2 inches, and a height of 3.3 inches…

Aside from that, it has a weight that comes in at 10.6 ounces. So it’s fairly lightweight. The physician dimensions and weight is one of the areas where the G33 has significant differences from the Eotech G43.

Magnification, Eye Relief & Field Of View

The magnification offered by the Eotech G33 is 3x. That means your target will appear 3 times larger at any given distance…

This might not seem like a lot of magnification, and it’s not compared to some scopes, but you’d be surprised just how helpful a little bit of extra magnification can be when you’re trying to identify targets at distance and zero in on them for accurate shooting…

eotech g43 vs g33

Aside from that, you get a generous 2.2 inches of eye relief with the G33, which allows you to place your head comfortably behind it and get a clear view when aiming…

And the field of view that you get is around 7.3 feet at 100 yards, which I think is pretty good because it allows you to see plenty of what’s going on around your target.

Mounting Options and Adaptability

The G33 comes with the Switch-to-Side Mounting System which is nice for several reasons. I like it because it allows you to go from 1x on your primary optic (something like the EXPS3)…

And then with a simple closing transition, the magnifier can be aligned directly behind your sight, and you’ll have 3x magnification…

It’s kind of the best of both worlds, and it’s a system that works really well when you have targets at close range and at extended distances…

I also really love that the included mount is Quick Detach. This means that you can mount it and unmount it on your gun extremely quickly…

And it just gives you the option of taking off the magnifier during the times when you really won’t need it, and then being able to put it back on in a very hassle free way…

Last, the G33 does include windage and elevation adjustments which will allow you to line it up perfectly right behind your primary optic.

What is the effective range of the G33 magnifier?

In my opinion, the G33 at 3x can help you shoot effectively at 300, 400, and maybe even 500 yards…

A lot of this depends on your individual marksmanship abilities, and other factors would include the size of the target and how much stability you’re able to achieve.

EOTECH G33 Magnifier Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Built to be very rugged
  • Good field of view
  • 3x magnification
  • More lightweight than Eotech G43

Cons

  • Longer than Eotech G43
  • Slightly smaller field of view than G43
  • Slightly shorter eye relief that G43 (But this is often offset by the extra length of the G33)

EOTech G43 Magnifier (What is the EOTECH G43?)

The Eotech G43 is Eotech’s second model in their line of magnifiers. It differs from the Eotech G33 in a few important ways…

Durability And Water Resistance

Much like the Eotech G33, the G43 is built to be a very tough optic. It’s also water resistant in up to 33 feet of water, and sealed to be fog resistant…

g43 vs g45

This means that it can definitely handle rainy or wet conditions, and just like the G33 it has an operating temperature of -40 degrees Fahrenheit to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. So it can be used in the hot desert or in arctic winter conditions without any issues.

Physical Dimensions and Weight

The Eotech G43 has a length that measures in at 3.1 inches, a width of 2.3 inches, and a height of 3.3 inches…

Its height is exactly the same as the G33, but it is much shorter and slightly wider…

On top of that, the weight on the G43 comes in at 11.3 ounces which means it’s actually heavier than the G33 (even though it’s much shorter)…

So with the G43, you get a more compact overall package, but at the same time, it’s a slightly heavier magnifier than the G33, which I think is a bit strange.

Magnification, Eye Relief & Field Of View

Like the G33, the G43 is a 3x magnifier, but that’s where the similarities end in this category. For example, the G43 has an eye relief of 2.5 inches rather than the G33’s 2.2 inches…

That’s a little bit better eye relief, but it should also be noted that the G33’s rear lens sits further back than the G43’s…

So that kind of negates the G43’s slightly longer eye relief a little bit…

Aside from that the G43 does have a slightly larger field of view than the G33 at 7.5 feet at 100 yards versus 7.3 feet.

Mounting Options and Adaptability

Like the G33, the G43 comes with a swing out mount which allows you to go from 1x on your primary optic to 3x with the magnifier in an instant…

eotech g43 magnifier tan

The G43’s mount also features a Quick Detach system, and again, that’s a feature that I love because it allows you to take the magnifier on and off your gun very quickly and easily…

And last, just as with the G33, the G43 features windage and elevation adjustments which will allow you to line up the magnifier perfectly behind your primary sight…

…and the G43’s mount actually comes with a 7mm spacer which makes it a little bit more adjustable.

Pros and Cons of the EOTech G43 Magnifier

Pros

  • Built to be very rugged
  • More compact package than G33
  • Better Field Of View than G33
  • Slightly longer Eye Relief that G33 (But again, this is kind of negated by the G33’s extra length)
  • Mount Include 7mm Adjustable spacer

Cons

  • The shorter overall profile can be awkward when running backup iron sights (because of the eye relief and location of the mount
  • It’s heavier than the G33

Eotech G43 vs G33 – Final Thoughts…

In the end, I think that both the Eotech G33 and the Eotech G43 are great magnifiers. They’re both built like tanks, and they both give you extra 3x power with swing away mounts…

But out of the two, my favorite is… the Eotech G33…

The main reason I prefer the G33 is because it’s slightly more lightweight…

I’m always trying to shave ounces off of my guns because it just makes them handier, and it’s kind of shocking to me that Eotech made a smaller magnifier that actually turned out to be heavier…

That being said, the G43 isn’t that much heavier than the G33, and I think it’s still a great magnifier. So if you’re looking for a more compact package, then I think that it’s definitely a great option to go with…

The bottom line is that both of these magnifiers are extremely well built and high quality. So you really can’t go wrong…

Just choose the one that has the size, weight, and profile that best works for your rifle and optic set up.

PSA Dagger Problems…? [Here’s My Experience With It…]

/ by
psa dagger problems

Let’s face it… Palmetto State Armory is coming out with some really exciting new guns…

And one of their most popular new designs is without a doubt the PSA Dagger…

Now if you’re not aware, the PSA Dagger is a VERY affordable Gen 3 Glock clone…

And that makes a very enticing pistol in the eyes of many…

But is it a quality pistol worth the low price tag…? Or have there been a lot of PSA Dagger problems reported…?

Well, in this article I’ll be answering that question for you by discussing my experience with a PSA Dagger that I bought…

In the end, you’ll have a clear understanding of what you get with the PSA Dagger, and you should have all the information you need to determine if it’s a worthwhile pistol for you or not…

Let’s begin!

PSA Dagger Problems? – Is It A Good Quality Pistol…?

There are not too many PSA Dagger problems that are reported because the guns are generally reliable and accurate even at their low price point. The rare problems that do seem to occur appear to be caused mostly by out-of-spec parts, and Palmetto State Armory’s customer service has a good reputation for taking care of the issues. Overall, the PSA Dagger has a solid reputation at this point, and my personal Dagger has been a great gun to shoot…

Below, I’ll give you more information about the PSA Dagger and I’ll also explain the things I’ve expereinced with my personal PSA Dagger Full Size S…

PSA Dagger Reliability…

Most people are reporting that their Dagger’s are very reliable, and even though my personal dagger has had a few hang ups, let me explain why I’m not worried about it…

For many years I’ve shot cheap reloaded ammunition. Malfunctions were rare in all of my guns, but recently I bought a batch from a company that I have never used before, and the stuff is absolutely terrible…

It’s caused malfunctions in my M&P9, my Sig P320, and even in my Glock 17 which has been one of my most reliable handguns…

So that same crappy, reloaded ammunition did cause some malfunctions in my PSA Dagger, but since I’ve been sticking to factory ammunition, I haven’t seen any problems pop up and the reliability has been solid.

PSA Dagger Accuracy…

The PSA dagger is basically a Gen 3 Glock clone, and the accuracy is similar to that that you get with a Glock…

That’s not a bad thing because most people can not out-shoot their Glocks, and it’s the same thing with the PSA Dagger…

what happened to the psa dagger

In fact, my PSA Dagger (which has a red dot on it) has been extremely accurate. I’ve shot groups that turn into ragged 1 ½ inch holes on paper targets at 7 yards, and it wasn’t even difficult to do (even though I’m just an average shooter).

So the accuracy that you get with the Dagger is excellent, especially if you run an optic on it.

PSA Dagger Trigger…

Some people have a problem with the PSA Dagger’s trigger, but I actually like it and I’ll explain why…

It’s a hinged trigger that is similar to the trigger on an M&P, and I think most people would prefer a bladed trigger that is more similar to a Glock…

I own several M&Ps, and I’ve never had an issue with the articulating hinged triggers that come on them…

psa dagger sw2 review

I’ve been able to shoot both fast and accurately with them, and it’s a similar experience when manipulating the trigger on the Dagger…

Also, sometimes after a long range session, the blade on a stock Glock trigger can start to get uncomfortable on my trigger finger because it digs in just a little bit…

But because the hinged trigger on the Dagger has a smooth face, you don’t run into that issue…

On top of that, the Dagger has a fairly light break right from the factory…

It’s a little lighter than the break on a stock Glock trigger (even a Gen 5), and I was pleasantly surprised by it the first time I dry fired my buddy’s Dagger…

Now, I usually polish my Glock triggers and replace the connectors (you can check out what I did to my Glock 17 here), So after that, they are better than the trigger on the PSA Dagger…

But right out of the box, I think the Dagger trigger is better, and I have no plans of changing the trigger on my personal Dagger because I think it’s actually pretty good, especially for a budget pistol.

PSA Dagger Frame…

Right now, there are two PSA Dagger frame sizes that you can get… the Compact and the Full Size S…

The Compact frame gives you the same size frame as a Glock 19, and the Full Size S is similar to a Glock 19X or Glock 45 frame…

My personal Dagger is the Full Size S because I like the full size grip for more control when shooting and because it takes 17 round magazines rather than the 15 round magazines that you get with the Compact frame…

psa dagger stippling

That being said, both frames are very ergonomic and comfortable in your hand…

I think they’re more comfortable than a Glock (even though I love Glocks) because they give you a more natural grip angle and just seem to have a more natural shape that fits in your hand…

On top of that, the PSA Dagger stippling is very good…

I don’t know how they create it, but it’s a very grippy texture which helps you get a solid hold on the gun…

And at the same time, it’s not aggressive at all and doesn’t scratch or dig into your hands…

So I really like the frame design of the PSA Dagger because it’s ergonomic, comfortable, and still gives you a great grip on the gun.

PSA Dagger Slide…

There are a number of different slide options that you can get for the PSA dagger, but my two favorite options are the Extreme Carry Cut and the Compact X…

The Extreme Carry Cut gives you serrations in both the front and the rear of the slide, and it also doesn’t have any windows…

I’m not totally against windows in handgun slides, but generally I prefer not to have them because they make it easier for outside debris to get into the slide of your gun…

psa dagger slide problems

Aside from that, the length on the Extreme Carry Cut slide is compact, which means it’s the same length as the slide on a Glock 19…

Overall, it makes my Dagger very similar to my Glock 45, and I’ve been really happy with the recoil impulse from it (which is fairly soft)…

That being said, I also really like the new Compact X slide which gives you a longer slide that is more similar to the Glock 17 or the new Glock 47…

I haven’t had a chance to pick up one of these slides yet, but it’ll probably be my next purchase because I really like the idea of a full size frame and full size slide on a Dagger (I think it will end up shooting even smoother than my Full Size S)…

Last, some people have reported that they solved PSA Dagger slide problems (if you have any – I didn’t) with a little bit of break in and you can do this for free by just racking the slide of your Dagger over and over again a few hundred times.

PSA Dagger Sights/ Optics…

The sights that come on the non optic cut Dagger models are good. They are metal, which makes them better than the plastic sights that you get on a Glock, and I think they give you a solid sight picture…

psa dagger optics

That being said, I recommend that you get an Optic Ready Dagger, and you can get a Dagger slide that features an RMR cut or a Docter cut

Out of the two, I would definitely go with an RMR cut because you’ll have a ton of better red dot options that are ready to mounted, and that’s exactly what my personal Dagger slide is cut for (an RMR).

Does The PSA Dagger Take Glock Mags…?

If you purchase a complete Dagger from PSA’s website, then your pistol will come with a Glock magazine made by Magpul…

These are good magazines, which will get you by when shooting at the range…

But I recommend getting Glock factory magazines if you ever intend to use your Dagger as a defensive gun…

My Glock factory magazines have worked flawlessly in my Dagger, and they’re better than the Magpul Glock magazines because they’re lined with metal rather than being all polymer…

psa dagger review

Aside from that, if you go with the Compact Dagger frame, the Glock 15 round magazines will sit flush in your gun. You can still use Glock 17 magazines, but they will stick out the bottom of your gun’s grip a little bit…

On the other hand, if you go with the Full Size S frame then you’ll have to use Glock 17 round (or greater) magazines.

Overall though, Glock factory magazines are super reliable and fairly affordable, so it’s a very good thing that the Dagger takes them.

PSA Dagger Price…

One of the cool things about the PSA Dagger is that you can buy a complete gun or buy a frame and a slide separately to ‘build’ your own gun…

That’s what I ended up doing. I ordered a Full Size S frame in Sniper Green, which I had sent to my FFL (because that’s legally the gun), and I ordered an FDE slide that was shipped straight to my home…

It all cost me well under $400 bucks, and I think it’s awesome that you can get a reliable, optic ready Glock clone for that amount of money…

On top of that, if you go with an iron sight only variant of the Dagger, you’ll be able to pick it up for less than $300, which is great.

PSA Dagger FAQS…

Is PSA Dagger as good as Glock 19?

Even though the PSA Dagger is a great pistol, I still believe the Glock 19  is a more reliable and better made pistol. Again, that doesn’t mean that the PSA Dagger is bad or isn’t the right gun for you because I love my PSA Dagger. But when I rack the slides on my Glocks, they’re smoother than my Dagger, and I trust their reliability more.

Will the PSA Dagger accept Glock parts?

Yes, almost all the parts on a PSA Dagger are compatible with Gen 3 Glock parts. There are a few small parts that are not interchangeable, but things like barrels, slides, frames, and sights are interchangeable along with most of the internal components. Some Glock holsters will work with the Dagger, but it’s better to get a dedicated PSA Dagger Holster.

Who builds the PSA Dagger?

The PSA Dagger is built by Palmetto State Armory or PSA for short. PSA is known for making affordable AR-15s, and they’re huge second amendment advocates (which I love!). They base many of their designs on customer feedback, and they really try to keep their products affordable so that the common man or woman can exercise their 2nd Amendment rights.

What triggers work with PSA dagger?

Most, if not all, Gen 3 Glock compatible triggers will work in the PSA Dagger. But as I mentioned earlier, I think the stock PSA Dagger trigger is pretty good, and doesn’t need to be upgraded.

What Glock is the PSA dagger equivalent to?

It depends on which variant of the PSA Dagger you’re referring to. The Compact frame and Compact Slide Dagger is the same size as a Glock 19. The Full Size S frame and the Compact slide is the same size as the Glock 19X and Glock 45. The Full Size S frame and the Compact X slide make it the same as a Glock 47 and similar to the size of a Glock 17

psa dagger long term review

Does the PSA dagger use Glock barrels? (What Barrel Is Compatible With The PSA Dagger?)

Yes, the PSA Dagger can use any barrel that is designed to work in a Gen 3 Glock. That being said, PSA has a wide selection of barrels that you can choose from including different colors and threaded and non threaded barrels.

Does the PSA dagger have the same grip angle as the Glock?

No. The Glock grip angle is more extreme and forces you to tilt your wrists more forward. The PSA Dagger grip angle is less extreme and allows you to shoot from a wrist angle that many people find to be more comfortable. Personally, I don’t mind either grip angle.

Will a Romeo zero fit a PSA dagger?

No, unless you use an adapter plate. Right now, the PSA Dagger can be had with an RMR optic cut or a Docter optic cut. The Romeo Zero features an RMSc footprint. All that being said, the new PSA Dagger Micro does feature an RMSc footprint and the Romeo Zero can be mounted on its slide.

What part of the PSA Dagger is serialized?

The serialized part of the PSA Dagger is the frame. This means if you purchase a Dagger frame from Palmetto State Armory’s website, it will have to be shipped to an FFL. That being said, if you purchase other parts for the Dagger (for example a slide and barrel) they can be shipped directly to your home (check your local laws as this might not apply in some states).

PSA Dagger Problems – Final Thoughts…

So to sum it all up, there are not a lot of problems with the PSA Dagger both in my experience and based on the reports of other shooters who’ve purchased them…

If you do run into a problem, PSA’s customer service is pretty helpful, and I think it’s likely that you’ll be taken care of…

I’ve had a great time shooting my personal Dagger, and I love my setup with the Swampfox Kraken optic and budget light that I’ve been running on it…

I’ve found this Dagger set up to run very smoothly and to be very accurate and pleasant to shoot…

If you’re interested in the Dagger, I recommend trying one out. They don’t cost a lot of money, and right now, I believe they’re one of the best bangs for your buck in the affordable handgun market.

Best Sig M18 Red Dot Sight [Top 6 List]…

/ by
sig m18 red dot

The Sig M18 is already a modern classic…

Like all the guns in the Sig Sauer P320 line and it’s bigger brother the M17 it’s a tough, reliable, and accurate handgun…

On top of that, it does come optics ready…

But naturally, the big question that arises next is… What’s the best Sig M18 red dot sight?

That’s a great question, and I’ll be answering it today by giving you my Top 6 list of the best red dot sights for the Sig M18…

In the end, you’ll have a solid understanding of some of the best pistol red dot sight on the market today…

And you should have all the information you need to determine which optic is going to work best for you…

Let’s get started!

Sig M18 Red Dot Sights – Top 6 List…

The best Sig M18 red dot sight is the Leupold Delta Point Pro. The Sig M18 was designed to work with the Delta Point Pro, and it features an optic cut specifically for the Delta Point Pro footprint. Aside from that, the Delta Point Pro is very durable, has a huge sight window, and features a 2.5 MOA reticle which is great for making fast and accurate shots…

Below I’ll give you more detail explaining why I think the Leapold Delta Point Pro is the best red dot for the Sig M18…

And I’ll also share with you 4 other amazing optics that you should consider.

1. Leupold Delta Point Pro (Best Overall Pick!)

best red dot for sig m18

The best red dot sight for the Sig M18 has to be the Leupold Delta Point Pro…

It’s the best because the M18 was literally designed to work with the Delta Point Pro. In fact, the optic cut that comes standard on the M18 is for the delta point pro footprint, and that means it’ll be extremely easy to mount on your gun…

Now aside from the fact that the M18 was designed to mount it, the Delta Point Pro (DPP) is a fantastic red dot optic in it’s own right. For starters, it’s built like a tank and is extremely durable. It’s sight housing is constructed from high quality aluminum, and it’s actually waterproof in up to 33 feet of water…

You also get a 2.5 MOA dot reticle which I think is a great size because it’s easy for your eye to pick it up, but also small enough to make accurate shots out at distance…

The battery life that you get with the Delta Point Pro is around 300 hours, and to help extend that battery life, this sight comes with motion sensor technology which will turn the sight on when it senses any motion at all. It’s also important to note that the DPP has a top-loading battery compartment, so you won’t have to remove the optic from your gun just to replace your battery when it dies…

Aside from that, the sight window on the Delta Point Pro is huge, and the glass is very clear which gives you a great field of view through the optic when you’re looking to make quick and accurate shots…

So all in all, the Delta Point Pro has been one of the best pistol red dots for many years, and because the M18 was designed specifically to work with it, it’s a no-brainer to place it in the number 1 spot on my list!

Feature Benefits
Pro-Grade Red Dot Optical SystemLight transmission for challenging lighting conditions, glare reduction, and high resolution and super clarity
IlluminatedThe illuminated reticle helps to get on target faster in low-light situations.
Motion Sensor Technology MST extends battery life as it deactivates reticles after 5 minutes of inactivity and reactivates on movement
Waterproof, Fogproof, & ShockproofUsing advanced gas and sealing methods to handle extreme temperatures, elevation changes, and shocks
OptionsChoose between 2.5 or 6 MOA, FDE, and NV

2. Trijicon RMR Type 2

sig p320 m18 red dot mount

The number 2 option on my list is the Trijicon RMR, and there are several reasons why it’s one of the best pistol red dots that you can get…

Firstly, with the RMR you can choose between multiple dot sizes depending on your preferences, including a 1 MOA dot, a 3.25 MOA dot, and a 6.5 MOA dot. Out of the three, my favorite is the 3.25 MOA dot because it think it’s easy for you eye to pick up and small enough to make very accurate shots (but the other options are also very good)…

Aside from that, the Trijicon RMR Type 2 features eight brightness settings, including two-night vision-compatible options. And it’s widely considered to be the most durable pistol red dot on the market due to it’s patented sight housing design and build quality. In fact, RMR actually stands for ‘Ruggedized Miniature Reflex’ sight, and over many years it has developed a reputation for living up to its name…

It’s also waterproof in up to 66 feet of water, and it gives you a whopping 5 years of battery life…

Why is the Trijicon RMR not Number 1 on the list?

Great question… The Trijicon RMR features the RMR footprint which normally is good thing because the RMR footprint is the most common footprint when it come to pistol red dot sights. However, like I mentioned earlier the Sig M18 is cut for the Delta Point Pro footprint…

That being said, it’s still very easy to get your RMR mounted onto the M18 with the use of an adapter plate (I recommend this one here)…

But all in all, the RMR is basically the king of all pistol red dots because of its reputation for reliability and durability, and it’s another amazing red dot that you should consider for your Sig M18.

Feature Benefits
Adjustable LED sightEasy to control the illumination
Dual-Illuminated OptionIlluminates reticle in low-light conditions and automatically adjusts to light conditions
1.0 MOA DotAllows accurate shooting at further distances
3.25 MOA DotSmall enough for accurate shooting, yet big enough for visibility
6.5 MOA DotEasy visibility for close-quarter shooting or shooters with poor vision
OptionsFDE, ODG, Gray

3. Eotech EFLX

sig p320 red dot compatibility

The Eotech EFLX is a relatively new pistol optic on the market, but it’s amazing little red dot that would pair really well with the Sig M18 for many reasons…

First of all, the Eotech EFLX is built to be tough. It has rugged sight housing design, and it’s rated to be waterproof in up to 33 feet of water. Aside from that, it also features a large sight window with clear glass which gives you a wide field of view when you’re shooting…

It also gives you around 20,000 hours of battery life from one CR2032 battery, which is conveniently top loading when you need to replace it (so there is no need to remove the optic from your slide), and it can be had with a 3 MOA dot reticle or a 6 MOA dot reticle (my preference would be the 3 MOA dot because it’s more precise for accurate shots)…

Last, the Eotech EFLX features the Delta Point Pro footprint, and if you’ve been paying attention, you know by now that the Sig M18 is set up for this footprint with it’s optic cut, and that means that it will be extremely easy to get the EFLX mounted on your gun…

So all in all, the Eotech EFLX is another amazing red dot sight, and because it features the Delta Point Pro footprint, it’s a perfect match for the Sig M18 right out of the box.

Feature Benefits

4. Holosun 508T X2

holosun red dot for sig m18

Number 4 on my list is the Holosun 508T X2, and there are many reasons to love this little sight. First of all, this optic is durable and actually features a titanium sight housing in addition to many other really useful features…

You also get 12 brightness settings, with two night-vision compatible settings, and around 50,000 hours (5 years) worth of battery life. Aside from that, this sight comes with a solar panel (to back up your battery if it fails), Shake Awake technology (which saves your battery life even more), and a convenient sight loading battery tray…

On top of all that, this sight also feature’s Holosun Multiple Reticle System which basically means that you get 3 reticle options programmed into the sight. The 3 options include a 2 MOA dot, a 32 MOA Circle, and a combination of the two for a Circle Dot Reticle…

Out of the 3 my favorite is the Circle Dot Reticle because it helps you shoot amazingly fast at targets up close, but you still have that small 2 MOA dot in the center for when you need to make precise shots…

Now, the 508T does feature the Trijicon RMR footprint. So you will need an adapter plate to mount it on your M18 (I recommend this one here). But because of the unique features that this optic offers, it’s one of my favorite pistol optics and definitely deserves a place on this list.

Feature Benefits

Solar failsafeIt helps when the battery runs out of power
Shake awakeSaves battery power

5. Sig Romeo 1 Pro

sig romeo m17

Alright, so the M18 and M17 are made by Sig Sauer, but did you also know that Sig actually makes optics as well…?

Well, they do. And the Sig Romeo 1 Pro is another fantastic optic that will work really well with the M18 for many reasons…

First of all, the Romeo 1 Pro is a fairly durable sight. It’s not to the level of the Delta Point Pro or the Trijicon RMR, but it can handle a fair amount of abuse…

It’s also waterproof in up to 1 meter of water, fog proof, and you can actually get a steel shroud that goes around the sight if you’re really concerned with the durability…

On top of that, you can get the Romeo 1 Pro with a 3 MOA dot reticle or a 6 MOA dot reticle (again, I prefer the 3 MOA dot version), and you also get ultra long battery life of around 20,000 hours with one CR1632 battery…

Last but not least, this sight features Sig’s MOTAC system which will extend your battery life even further, and it’s set up with a Delta Point Pro footprint. So it will work perfectly with Sig guns like the M18 and over versions of the Sig P320

So all in all, the Sig Romeo 1 Pro is another great optic, and because it’s actually made by Sig, it’s a great option for the M18.

Feature Benefits
Molded glass aspheric lens The high-performance coatings deliver high light transmittance with no distortion
3 or 6 MOA red dot Includes various brightness settings for quick engagements regardless of lighting conditions
TruHold Lockless Zeroing System Absorbs handgun recoil and returns to zero
New point-source emitter For super brightness with ten-day settings and two-NV settings
Motion Activated Illumination System Activates by motion and powers down when still for battery power saving

6. Holosun 507C X2 (Best Budget Option!)

sig m17 red dot mount

The last optic on my list is the Holosun HS507C X2, and I think it’s the best option if you’re on a budget. It’s very similar to the Holosun 508T that I mentioned above, but it comes in at a little bit lower price point…

The main difference is that ithe 507C has a sight housing made from Aluminum rather than the 508T’s titanium, but don’t let that fool you. The 507C has been found to be a very tough and reliable optic in it’s own right…

And just like the Holosun 508T it comes packed with useful features. For example, you get 50,000 hours of battery life, the solar panel to back up your battery, the shake awake technology to extend your battery even more, and a side loading battery tray to make battery changes quick and easy…

On top of that, you also get the Multiple Reticle System from Holosun which, again, gives you 3 reticle options programed into the sight, and that includes the Circle Dot Reticle, which I mentioned before was my favorite because it just helps you shoot fast and accurately at the same time…

Last, the Holosun 507C does feature the RMR footprint. So it will require an adapter place to get it mounted onto your M18 (I recommend this one here) But once you have that part, it’ll be easy to mount and you’ll have a strong affordable sight with great battery life and the best reticle that you can get on a pistol optic!

Feature Benefits
Lens coatingsHolosun lenses have multi-coating features
MagnificationThe 1x magnification provides a clear vision without distortion
Multiple reticle systemToggle between a 2 MOA and a 32 MOA dot ring
Solar failsafeWhen the battery dies, you have a backup
Shake awake technologySave on battery power as the device will sleep when not in use

The best red dot for the Mini 14 is the Aimpoint Micro T2, and there are several reasons why. For starters, the keywords here are rugged, lightweight, and compact which all make it a perfect match for the Mini 14…

2. Trijicon MRO

best mini 14 setup

Another amazing red dot for the Mini 14 is the Trijicon MRO. MRO actually standard for ‘Miniature Rifle Optic” and this is Trijicon’s direct competitor to the Aimpoint Micro T2 that I mentioned above…

This little optic is another excellent option for your Mini 14. It’s designed to be small and compact, but at the same time incredibly durable. The sight housing is super strong, and it’s rated to be waterproof in up to 100 ft of water…

All that being said, one of the main benefits of this optic over the Aimpoint Micro T2, it the 25mm Objective lens that you get. That large objective lens gives you a great field of view when you’re looking through the optic, and you get a really crisp and clean sight picture to help you make your shots. Add to that the advanced lens coatings, and you are looking at one of the best mini reflex sights ideal for a Mini 14…

3. Holosun HS503CU

ruger mini 14 accessories

Number 3 on my list of the best red dot sights for the Mini 14 is the Holosun HS503CU, and there are many reasons why. First of all, it’s sight housing is built from 7075 T6 aluminum which makes it rugged, and it’s waterproof in up to 1 meter of water…

But in addition to, it’s jam packed with a ton of the best Holosun modern features. For example, you get 50,000 hours of battery life, but the Solar Failsafe is a welcome help when your battery is about to die on you. Also, the Shake-Awake feature will allow you to save even more battery life. And the sight weighs in at only 3 oz. So it’ll be a compact addition to your rifle when mounted…

That is not all though, it also gives you 12 brightness settings, and the multi Recticle System gives you an option of the 2 MOA dot , the 65 MOA circle, or both simultaneously (the circle dot reticle). Out of the 3 options, my favorite is the Circle Dot Reticle because it helps you shoot extremely fast at targets up close, but at the same time allows you to shoot accurately at small targets or targets at greater distances…

On top of all that, it comes in at a much more competitive price than both the Aimpoint Micro T2 and the Trijicon MRO, and it actually comes with a high and low mount so you easily get it mounted onto your Mini 14…

So all in all, I love the Holosun 503CU because it’s packed with useful features and because it gives you a circle dot reticle, which will help you shoot fast and accurately when you need to.

The Holosun HS503CU Features And Benefits

4. Trijicon RMR Type 2

mini 14 picatinny rail

Number 4 on the list is an ultra compact red dot option, and it’s called the Trijicon RMR Type 2. It’s a super compact sight weighing in at only 1.2 ounces, but it’s actually very tough considering how small it is. In fact, RMR actually stands for ‘Ruggedized Miniature Reflex’ sight, and over the years, it has definitely lived up to it’s name…

Now, I love the eight brightness settings that you get with this sight which include two NV-compatible options, and the side buttons are super easy to operate and allow quick access to the brightness, auto and manual, and power-down settings…

Also, the Type 2 model is a revamped and upgraded version of a previous model (the Type 1), and it features upgraded electronics which make the sight more reliable

Aside from that, the RMR is an incredibly popular sight which means it’ll be easy to find a mount to get it set up on your Mini 14, and it also comes is several different finishes – Coyote Brown, FDE, Matte Black, OD Green, Sniper Gray, and several different dot sizes including…

  • The 1 MOA Dot – The small dot is for accurate shooting and further distances

  • The 6.5 MOA Dot – The large dot is for fast target engagement, perfect for close-combat or target scenarios. In addition, if your vision is poor, this is the better choice for you

All in all, the Trijicon RMR Type 2 is a fantastic red dot for a Mini 14 if you want an extremely small and lightweight sight that it still going to be rugged enough to keep working for you no matter what conditions you put it through.

5. Holosun HS507C X2

mini 14 rail

Number 5 on the list is another ultra compact option, and it’s the Holosun HS507C X2…

Although this sight is mainly designed for pistol applications, it can function very well as a super compact sight on the Mini 14. For starters, you will find many of the newer Holosun features that come standard on this model…

With this sight you get 50,000 hours of battery life, which is awesome, but you also get the Solar Failsafe (to back up your battery), the Shake Awake technology to extend your battery, and the Multiple Reticle System which allows you to choose between 3 reticles that at are programmed into the sight…

The 3 reticle options include a 2 MOA dot, a 32 MOA ring, and a combination of the two for a circle dot reticle. The circle dot reticle is my favorite option of the 3 because it helps you shoot fast and accurately, and it really sets this sight apart from every other red dot that comes in at a similar size…

Aside from that, this sight is ultra compact weighing in at only 1.5 ounces, and it features the same footprint as the ever popular RMR which means you’ll easily be able to find a mount to get it set up on your Mini 14…

6. Sig Sauer Romeo5 (Best Budget Option!)

mini 14 rail mount

The last red dot on my list is the Sig Sauer Romeo5, and I think it’s the best option if you’re on a tight budget…

I love this very durable little micro red dot sight for two main reasons – value for money and a host of features that you would typically only find on more expensive weapon sights. So, yes, this is my Best Budget pick. But, firstly, it built to be a very durable little red dot sight, and secondly, it features a 2 MOA reticle with ten brightness settings, of which two are NV-compatible…

On top of that, it includes Sig Sauer’s MOTAC system, which is a motion activated feature to power the sight up and down depending on movement or inactivity, and it saves you battery life…

That being said, the battery life that you get with this sight is very good and will last for four years with constant use. The Romeo5 is also fog proof and water proof in up to 1 meter of water, and it actually comes with a high and a low mount, so you can easily get it mounted onto your Mini 14 right out of the box…

Best Red Dot For Astigmatism [Top 7 List]…

/ by
<a href=best red dot for astigmatism” class=”wp-image-8848″/>

Did you know that…

astigmatic eyes have corneas and lenses that are not symmetrically curved and instead resemble the shape of a football…?

As a result, the retina suffers from a lack of sharp focus, and you end up having blurry vision…

Obviously, having blurry vision can affect your ability to shoot, but the truth is that some red dot sights function better than others for people who have astigmatism…

So if you’re looking for the best red dot for astigmatism, you’re in the right place because I’m going to share with you my list of the Top 7 options out there…

By the end, you’ll have a good understanding of some of the best red dot sights for astigmatism currently are, and you should have all the information you need to determine which is going to be right for you…

1. Eotech EXPS3 (The Best Red Dot For Astigmatism!)

red dot astigmatism fix

The EOTech EXPS3 is an innovative and versatile weapon sight thanks to its holographic display and Circle Dot reticle. It’s an optic rated for the toughest duty use, and if features 1,000 hours of battery life and 20 daylight brightness settings…

Also, because it is a holographic sight, it features true unlimited eye relief, and that can be a great help when you’re aiming with both eyes open and firing multiple rounds at various targets quickly…

Furthermore, many shooters with astigmatism have reported being able to see the Holographic reticle on the EXPS3 better than on a traditional reflex sight…

Aside from that, the Circle dot reticle that you get with the EXPS3 is a 1 MOA dot in the center with a large 68 MOA ring surrounding it. This large reticle is very easy to see, and that means you can turn your brightness level down, which is another trick that has been known to help shooters with astigmatism see the reticle a bit clearer as well…

So all in all, the Eotech EXPS3 is a great red dot sight for a rifle or carbine if you have an astigmatism because the Holographic technology and large, circle dot reticle make it a very easy to get a clean sight picture.

2. Holosun HS510C

red dot astigmatism test

The Holosun HS510C is among the best all-around red dot sights for people with astigmatism. It has a long battery life, a solid build, crystal-clear optics, and a variety of reticle options…

To begin, the battery life that you get is an astounding 50,000 hours (5 years), and it also includes a solar fail safe which will allow you to the run sight without a battery if you ever need to…

In addition to that, the 510C is a very tough optic for a rifle or carbine, and because it is a true reflex sight, it does have unlimited eye relief…

Now when it comes to the reticle, it’s actually similar to the Eotech EXPS3 that I mentioned above, only you can switch between 3 different options including a 2 MOA dot, a 65 MOA ring only, or a combination of that two for a circle dot reticle…

This is great for shooters with astigmatism because just like with the EXPS3, the Circle Dot reticle is large which allows it to still be visible even when you turn the brightness of the sight down…

As I mentioned before, doing this can help you see the reticle more clearly if you have an astigmatism. So, because of that large Circle dot reticle that you get with the HS510C, I think it’s another great option if you have astigmatism and are looking for a red dot for a rifle or carbine.

3. Holosun HS503CU

astigmatism red dot starburst

The Holosun HS503CU is another great red dot for astigmatism. Unlike the EXPS3 and the Holosun 510C, the 503CU is actually a micro red dot sight, which makes it a very small and lightweight option for a rifle or carbine…

It features crystal-clear glass, a robust sight housing, and it’s a reflex sight with unlimited eye relief. It also gives you around 50,000 hours of battery life, and features a solar panel to back up your battery…

Now, the cool thing if you have an astigmatism is that it features the same reticle options as the Holosun 510C that I mentioned earlier (a 2 MOA dot, a 65 MOA ring, and a combination of the two as the circle dot reticle)…

And just as with the 510C, the circle dot reticle is large and easy to see, and you can turn the brightness level down which will help you get a cleaner sight picture if you have an astigmatism…

So again, the Holosun 503CU is another great option if you have an astigmatism, but it’s a lot smaller and more compact than some of the other options on this list.

4. Holosun EPS

pistol red dots for astigmatism

Another amazing red dot that will work well for you if you have astigmatism and want an optic on your full-size pistol is the Holosun EPS. The EPS is a relatively new pistol red dot sight, and it sets itself apart from many of Holosun’s other pistol red dot offerings because it’s an enclosed pistol sight…

That means nothing can get in and block the emitter, and it’s just a more rugged design than open emitter sights like the Holosun 507C (which is also good). Aside from that, this sight features a durable sight housing, 50,000 hours of battery life, Shake Awake technology to save you even more battery life, and a solar panel to back up your battery…

And the reason it’s a great optic if you have astigmatism is because (like all the other Holosun’s on this list) it gives you 3 reticle options… a 2 MOA dot, a 32 MOA ring, and a combination of the two for a circle dot reticle on your pistol optic…

Again, if you have astigmatism, a good thing to do is to run the optic on the Circle Dot Reticle and turn the brightness down low. This will get you a more clean sight picture, and you won’t have to deal with much of the “starburst’ effect that you typically get when looking through a red dot with astigmatism…

So all in all, this is an amazing red dot for a full size handgun (I’m running it on my Glock 17), and because it comes with Holosun’s circle dot reticle, it’s a great option for anyone with an astigmatism.

5. Holosun EPS Carry

best red dot for astigmatism pistol

Number 5 on the list is the Holosun EPS Carry, and this is basically a smaller version of the Holosun EPS which makes it perfect for slimline, concealed carry handguns (like my Glock 48)…

Like the full size EPS, it’s an enclosed emitter pistol optic. It’s durable, gives you 50,000 hours of battery life, features Shake Awake technology to save you battery life, and includes a solar panel to back up your battery…

It also features Holosun’s multiple reticle system, which means it comes with a Circle Dot Reticle. Again, that large circle dot reticle will help you if you have astigmatism because you can turn down the brightness setting and the reticle will get a little more clean and clear…

So if you have astigmatism and are looking for a red dot for a concealed carry pistol, you should consider the Holosun EPS Carry because of the large Circle Dot Reticle and the ability to lower the brightness setting to get a cleaner sight picture.

6. Primary Arms SLx 1x Micro Prism Scope

etched reticle red dot

For some shooter’s with astigmatism, no red dot sight seems to get better, and if that’s the case for you, I recommend that you try a 1X prism scope. These scopes function just like a red dot when you use them, but they feature an etched reticle rather than a projected image. That etched reticle appears very clear to you as the shooter, whether you have astigmatism or not…

Now, one of the best prism scopes is the Primary Arms SLX 1x Micro Prism Scope. This scope is built very tough, compact and lightweight, and offers you a very generous eye relief (almost as good as an actual red dot sight)…

It also features a very cool reticle called the ACSS Cyclops gen II reticle. The ACSS Cyclops etched reticle has a horseshoe shape and a chevron (which resembles a triangle) in the center for precise aiming, and the central horseshoe allows you to focus quickly on nearby targets…

Aside from that, this scope features illumination, so you can illuminate the etched reticle in red or green and make those really fast shots the same way you would will a red dot sight…

All in all, even though this prism scope is not technically a red dot sight, it functions like one when you use it, and it’s a lot easier to get a clear sight picture because of the etched reticle that you get with it.

7. Monstrum Tactical Marksman 1×20 Prism Scope

best prism sight for astigmatism

The Monstrum Tactical Marksman 1×20 Prism Scope is another prism scope that will work great if you have astigmatism. Again, this is a prism scope rather than a red dot sight, but because it’s a 1X magnification, it functions just as a red dot would when you shoot with it…

It has a hard anodized aluminum coating and like I said, a magnification factor of one. It also features a circle dot etched reticle, which is super clear even if you have astigmatism, and it can be illuminated in red or green just like a red dot optic or a green dot optic…

The eye relief that you get is also pretty generous, and this prism scope comes in at a very affordable price point. So I think it’s an especially good option if you’re looking for an optic and on a budget at the same time.

Best ACSS Red Dot [Top 5 List]…

/ by
acss red dot

It’s been said before but it needs to be repeated…

A red dot is a ‘force multiplier’…

It just helps you shoot faster and more accurately, and at this point there is pretty much no debating that…

But all that being said, having a reticle that assists you when you’re shooting can make your red dot even more effective…

And right now the ACSS red dot reticle from Primary Arms is one of the best that you can get…

If you’re unaware, ACSS actually stands for ‘Advanced Combined Sighting System’ and there are different variations of this reticle depending on the type of red dot sight that you’re using…

Below, I’ve posted my list of the Top 5 ACSS red dot sights that are currently available…

Some of the options are suitble if you want to run the ACSS reticle on a rifle or a carbine, and some are designed for use as a pistol red dot sight

So no matter what you’re looking for, you should be able to find a red dot with the ACSS reticle that will fit your needs…

Best ACSS Red Dot – Top 5 List…

1. Holosun HS503G w/ ACSS CQB Reticle

acss-cqb red dot

The Holosun HS503G is made of aluminum and finished off with a hard coat anodized which makes it incredibly durable. This optic features a total of ten brightness settings, and the sight is also night vision compatible as well…

In addition to that, this red dot sight by Holosun features the ACSS reticle, which employs a chevron that is easily picked up by the user’s eye for close quarters shooting, but whose tip serves as a small aiming point at greater distances…

Below the chevron there are three bullet drop compensator (BDC) dots, and they enable you to range out to an astounding 600 yards with your rifle or carbine. On top of that, this optic uses 1 CR2032 battery which allows up to 50 000 hours of battery use on a single charge.

This optic also comes with a low and high mount and features shake awake technology which will make your battery last even longer. So all in all, this is an amazing red dot if you’re looking for a compact optic for a rifle or carbine which features an ACSS reticle which allows you to shoot quickly up close and range out to 600 yards.

2. Primary Arms SLx 25mm Micro Dot w/ ACSS CQB Reticle

primary arms slx md-25 acss red dot

The Primary Arms SLx 25mm microdot is another great optic for a rifle or carbine. It’s excellent when you need to make quick shots at close distance and to range out to further distances…

It features the same ACSS-CQB Circle/Chevron reticle as the Holosun 503G mentioned above, but it gives you a larger field of view because it features the 25mm objective lens. This does make the optic a little larger than the Holosun 503G, but it’s a bit of a trade off to get the larger field of view

This red dot also gives you around 12,000 hours of battery life, and it also has Primary Arms’ next-generation ruggedized mounting system…

primary arms slx rotary knob 25mm microdot with acss-cqb red dot reticle review

The large diameter cross bolts provide much better clamping force and will withstand extreme torque, and the integrated recoil lugs assist securing your mount in place and withstand any recoil…

The optic can also be configured with a low base, standard riser, or with two additional height spacers, which will allow you to get the optic to the perfect height for you regardless of the type of rifle that you choose to mount it on…

You also get 12 brightness settings for compatibility with brighter days and night vision, and overall, the large objective lens makes it a really fun optic to shoot with…

So if you’re looking for a rifle optic that is similar to the Holosun 503G (allows you to shoot fast up close and range out to 600 yards) but you’re willing to trade a little bit of the compact size for a larger objective lens, then the Primary Arms SLx Micro Dot might be the right optic for you.

3. Holosun HS507C X2 w/ACSS Vulcan Reticle

acss vulcan red dot

The Holosun HS507C X2 with the ACSS Vulcan Reticle has unlimited eye relief and is perfect for your full size pistol. The sight has multiple reticle systems that you can switch between and shake awake technology which prolongs the 50,000 hour battery life that you get…

The battery tray is placed on the side and allows you to conveniently change it out without removing the optic from the pistol (which is not always the case with pistol red dots), and this optic features the RMR footprint which will make it very easy to get mounted onto your pistol…

In addition, Holosun guarantees the product’s quality of life, including the fully multi-coated glass and the robust frame manufactured from 7075-T6 aluminum…

holosun acss vulcan

Now as for the reticle, the innovative patent-pending ACSS Vulcan reticle has a very large circle that draws the eye to the 10 MOA center chevron. If you are not perfectly in the center when presenting your pistol to make a shot, a section of the outer ring will display in the window. The circle will disappear entirely if the central chevron is at the correct position in the sight box…

This is a unique system that helps you acquire the reticle quickly when shooting a pistol red dot. One of the challenges that some shooters face when using a red dot on a pistol is actually finding the dot, which can take up a lot of time. But because the ACSS Vulcan reticle will show you a portion of that large outer circle, your brain will automatically center the reticle and you can make your shot fast…

Additionally, this sight does have a battery-saving technique that can save up to 20,000 hours. The user can manually deactivate the large outer reference circle, and you can just run the center Chevron…

But I recommend not doing this because the major benefit of the ACSS Vulcan reticle is that large outer circle which helps you find your reticle fast and allows you to shoot quickly…

So all in all, the Holosun HS507C-X2 with the ACSS Vulcan reticle is great for full-sized handguns because it helps you find the reticle quickly, but it can also be used on rifles and shotguns if you want an extremely small and lightweight sight.

4. Holosun HE509-RD w/ACSS Vulcan Reticle

acss pistol red dot

The Holosun HE509-RD w/ACSS Vulcan Reticle is similar to the HS507C that I mentioned above. It is designed for use on a full-size pistol, but the major feature that distinguishes it from the 507C is that the HE509 Red Dot Sight has a protective housing far superior to an open-emitter reflex design in terms of environmental protection, abrasion and shock resistance, and overall durability…

This sight is made of aluminum and has an included adapter plate for a Glock MOS, but you can get adapter plates for any of the popular optic cuts that are currently on the market. It also features unlimited eye relief with a solar failsafe and shake awake technology which will add extra life to the 50,000 hour battery life that you get with this optic…

holosun acss vulcan

The ACSS Vulcan reticle works the same way on the HE509-RD as it does on the 507C. You get that large outer circle which will disappear when you have the optic aligned and extended out to shoot, and in the center, you have the 10 MOA chevron with a very precise point at the top…

Again, if you present your pistol to shoot and your dot is not aligned, you’ll be able to use the large outer circle to quickly align your optic and get your shot off…

So all in all, the HE509 is another great option for a red dot on a full size pistol. And the major difference between it and the 507C is that it in an enclosed emitter optic which makes it a more durable option because no debris can get in and block the emitter.

5. Holosun HS507K w/ACSS Vulcan Reticle

holosun acss green

The last red dot on my list is another pistol red dot from Holosun. However, unlike the HS507C and the HS509T which are designed for full-size (double stack) handguns like I mentioned above, the Holosun HS507K with the ACSS Vulcan reticle is an extremely small sight designed to be mounted on small, slim-lined concealed carry handguns…

It features Holosun’s modified RMSc footprint which will make it very easy to mount on your gun, and it also features all the other great features that are expected in Holosun red dot sights such as 40,000 hours of battery life, shake awake technology (to save you even more battery life), and a convenient side-loading battery tray…

holosun acss vulcan

It’s also a very durable little optic, and it features a slightly different take on the ACSS Vulcan reticle which includes the large outer circle and a small 3 MOA dot reticle in the center (rather that the Chevron of the larger models)…

Again, this reticle is awesome because it makes its so quick and easy to find your dot, and that’s especially important on a small gun that you’re going to be concealed carrying around…

Best M&P 15 Sport Quad Rails [Top 5 List]…

/ by
m&p 15 sport quad rails

The M&P 15 Sport is an amazing little AR 15…

It’s built tough. It’s reliable. It’s accurate, and on top of all that, it’s VERY affordable!

All that being said, there are some areas where it’s a good idea to upgrade the Sport…

And let’s face it, the Sport is a great gun, but the cheap plastic handguard is one of the areas where Smith & Wesson decided to shave a little bit of the cost…

Honestly, I think that’s good thing because it gives you an opportunity to upgrade your handguard, and one of the most popular options is to upgrade to a quad rail…

The only question is… What are the best M&P 15 Sport Quad Rails…?

That’s a great question, and I’m going to answer it today by giving you my list of the Top 5 best quad rails for the M&P 15 Sport…

By the end, you’ll have a solid understanding of which quad rails will work well with your M&P 15 Sport…

And you should be able to determine which is going to work best for you…

Let’s get started!

Best M&P 15 Sport Quad Rails – Top 5 List…

The best M&P 15 Sport quad rail is the Carbine Length Daniel Defense Omega Rail. It’s the best because it’s easy to install and extremely strong and durable. It’s also fairly lightweight for a quad rail, and the slim profile makes it very ergonomic and comfortable in your hand…

Below I’ll give you more detail explaining why I think the DD Omega Rail is the best rail for the M&P 15 Sport 2…

And I’ll also share with you 4 other options that will be a great fit as well.

1. Daniel Defense Omega Rail – Carbine Length (Best Rail For M&P 15 Sport 2)

best quad rail for m&p 15 sport 2

The Daniel Defense Omega Handguard is a carbine-length, free-float, quad rail system that you can easily install without additional tools or modifications to your AR 15

Installing the rail takes only a few minutes and can be done with the Allen key wrench that comes with it. On top of that, this rail has integrated swivel mounts with rotation limiters for your QD sling and a continuous top rail…

The Omega Quad Rail is also super durable and strong. It’s CNC machined from aircraft-grade aluminum, anodized with a type 3 hard coat, and designed to work with the gas system of the carbine length AR15 which means it will fit perfectly on the M&P 15 Sport…

In addition, the fasteners are all constructed according to military specifications, and these rails are exceptionally lightweight in comparison to other quad rails…

Last, the DD Omega Quad Rail has a fairly narrow vertical profile and that makes it extremely ergonomic and comfortable in your hand instead of being fat and bulky like some other quad rails…

So all in all, the Daniel Defense Omega Rail (Carbine Length) is the best quad rail on the market because it’s extremely strong, lightweight, easy to install, and comfortable in your hand. On top of all that, it will fit your M&P Sport like a glove.

2. Midwest Industries Drop In Quad Rail – Carbine Length

Best Rail For M&P 15 Sport 2

The Midwest Industries MCTAR- 17 Gen 2 Two-Piece Handguard is a carbine-length quad rail system that will work perfectly with the M&P 15…

Like the Daniel Defense Omega rail, it’s a lightweight system machined from hard coat anodized 6061 aluminum and compatible with round hand guard caps and most direct impingement (DI) gas systems (like on the Sport)…

In addition to all that, the Midwest Industries quad rail is both lightweight and incredibly quick and easy to install, and it also has four QD sockets for push button swivels (for easily mounting slings) and a continuous monolithic top rail to match up with your rifle’s upper receiver

The design is also very durable and can withstand the recoil of your M&P 15 in any situation that may arise in the field, from hunting to competition shooting…

Last, the Midwest Industries quad rail is a drop-in install rail, which can be finished in a matter of minutes and requires no special tools, and once it is mounted, it gives you a very ergonomic place to keep your hand which will allow you to fire shots from your M&P 15 Sport very comfortably.

3. Troy Modular Quad Rail – Carbine Length

m&p 15 sport 2 rail upgrade

The Troy Modular Rail Forend Handguard is a non-free floating, carbine-length quad rail that you can conveniently install in under two minutes onto your M&P 15 Sport with the drop-in mounting design…

This quad rail can replace all carbine length M4 and M16 plastic handguards, and it’s machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and hard coat anodized according to military standards. In addition to the durability that you get, this quad rail is solid and gives you plenty of room to mount accessories like weapon lights, lasers, and vertical fore grips…

These quad rails also look great on an M&P 15 and can hold several accessories that you can easily install with numbered cross slots on all four sides of the quad rail…

On top of all that, the Troy Quad rail can conveniently take 360-degree push button (QD) swivels which will allow you to rapidly detach and attach your sling of choice, and like I mentioned earlier, the Troy Modular quad rail is exceptionally lightweight so it’s not going to weigh down your rifle and make it heavy and bulky the way some quad rails do.

4. Monstrum Tactical Extended Drop In Quad Rail (Best Budget Option)

picatinny rail for m&p 15 sport 2

The Monstrum Tactical Extended handguard is a drop-in quad rail that provides a high-quality, lightweight, and cost-effective replacement for the plastic hanguards that come on the M&P 15 Sport…

This quad rail is quick and easy to install, and the FSP (front sight post) cutout allows you to mount this extended length rail without having to remove the front sight post that comes on the M&P 15 Sport…

And because you have so much rail space, you can easily mount weapon lights, lasers, and vertical foregrips onto your Sport to really get the most out of your rifle…

On top of that, these quad rails are 6061 Aircraft Grade Aluminum which means you’re getting a high quality and durable handguard, and they come in at a very reasonable price which is not always the case for with high quality quad rails…

Now you do want to be aware that the Monstrum Tactical Extended quad rails is not compatible with every AR-15 (for example it’s incompatible with Ruger AR-556 model rifles). But because the M&P 15 sport has a carbine length gas system and uses a standard delta ring, you’ll be able to easily mount it onto your Sport without any fitment issues…

Last, the Monstrum Tactical Extended Quad Rail does come in black and FDE which is cool especially for a more budget rail option. And I really like the FDE option because, adding a little bit of Tan or FDE can really set your rifle apart and keep your handguard a little more cool in the summer sun.

5. Monstrum Tactical Drop-In M-LOK Handguard (Not A Quad Rail – But A Cool Alternative)

m&p 15-22 quad rail

Ok, so the last handguard on my list is actually not a quad rail, but I think it’s a really great option for the M&P 15 Sport that comes in at a really great price. It’s the Monstrum Tactical Drop In M-LOK handguard, and it’s very similar to the Monstrum extended Drop In Quad Rail except it’s more lightweight because of the M-LOK system…

To begin, this handguard is a carbine-length M-LOK handguard that is very easy to install with the drop-in system, screws, and no additional gunsmithing…

It typically takes less than 15 minutes to install, and the process does not require any special tools. On top of that, this extended handguard has a cut out for your M&P 15 Sport’s front sight post, so there is no need to remove your FSP when you install it…

Although this handguard is not a quad rail, it includes two M-LOK to Picatinny rails that you can install on the various M-LOK slots that run all along the rail, and that will allow you to mount weapon lights, lasers, vertical grips and other accessories wherever you’d like to…

In addition to that, the Monstrum Tactical handguard adds a really cool and modern look to your M&P 15 and it’s a really comfortable handguard to shoot with as well. Furthermore, these Monstrum handguards are exceptionally lightweight and durable for pretty much any type of use you need to put them through…

Last, the Monstrum Tactical drop-in M-LOK handguard is available in either Black or Flat Dark Earth colors. And like I said before, I really like that Monstrum offers an FDE option because adding parts of FDE to your gun adds character (in my opinion), and it also helps keep your handguard cooler when your gun is sitting in the summer sun.
